Bursary Department existed since the establishment of Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kedah in 1995. At that time, it was administrated by an administrative assistant. In 01 June 1996, this person was appointed as the Treasurer and was helped by two other administrative assistants. The Treasury is responsible in the administration and maintenance of the KUIN financial affairs and report the financial status directly to the Financial Controllers namely the Rector and the Board of Directors.
Hence, the Bursary Department had revised its main functions at that time for improvements in terms of Asset Management, Budgeting, Income, Accounting, Payment, Salary and Students’ Accounts. In line with the development of institutional activities, the Bursary Department had evolved and its functions have increased, including the management of Vehicle and Housing Loan Fund, Trust Fund and Administration. After this institution was upgraded into University College in 2006, current activities were sustained.
Staff intercalation is in line with the development of the University College’s activities with the increase in staff count from three (3) to twenty-four (24) staff to date. The functions and staff’s contributions toward the stabilization of the University College’s administration are done continuously to ensure its effectiveness and excellence, and to be strengthened from time to time.
To generate income and prepare sufficient financial resources to finance the administration and university college’s development
To ensure financial resources being spent adhere to approved limit by the University College’s Top Management and adhere to acts, policies, and financial rules as stipulated;
To account all financial transactions as stipulated by the acts, policies and financial rules.
To provide Financial Management Service to the students
